Tulips, Toes and Trouble

Time to get myself going and make a post. I stopped in to visit Deanne's Studio Hook-in at noon and was trying to get my mojo back. The workshop space is all re-organized and it looks great. And Brenda gave me some advice on a trouble spot in my rug. I only sat there for a half hour and I was inspired again. Plus the weather has been inspiring. The tulips at the front of the house are growing. It won't be long before they're opened up and beautiful.

In the spirit of sunny days and warm temps it is time to dust off the flip flops. Yay!! But you can't wear flip flops in public until you freshen up those dry old feet that have been stuffed in socks and boots for months. Last night the lovely ladies at the downtown Spa gave me a pedicure. Heaven!

Ahh, I never get tired of being pampered :). I think a massage might be in order soon.

Now for the "trouble" part. I was at the doctor today for my test results. It was slightly frustrating. There was a long discussion and a little debating. He's ordered more blood work for tomorrow and as he handed me the paper he "crossed the line". He said he was ordering not only thyroid testing, but also hormone levels......in case I was in early menopause. ...........EARLY MENOPAUSE....... - He's lucky he's still alive! I just about spewed estrogen all over him to show him how far I was from THAT!

I'll show him! Lol.

  2. Kim I have to tell you, menohhhhhhhpause is not that bad. It actually got rid of a few problems that were driving me crazy. And I found that it was a hell of alot better than perimenohhhhpause. Love your toe paint!

  5. Did you ever notice that all our problems begin with men...menstrual cycle, mental anguish, menopause? Just sayin'...

  6. Hi Kim, Our warm temps went away and we had cold air with rain, snow sometimes the two of them together. We are in a winter storm watch tonight until tomorrow afternoon. I look at flowers but thankful I didn't buy any. I just wanted to wait because I am not sure what I want to plant. They have to stand full sun all day long. I keep thinking I will pamper myself to having nails done, then I change my mine. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the warmer temps. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  9. I thought I'd check up on your blog. How on earth did I miss this post? It must have snuck by me. So sorry about that Kim...

Been there, done that and I agree, the pre-menopause is worst than the menopause because if screws up your emotions, causing mental anguish. Feeling of inadequacy, feeling anxious about driving, forgetfulness, etc, etc.... It's only temporary. Just like a teenager girl only worst, lol. Sooner or later, they grow out of it.

Millions of women goes through that every years. Oh I'd like to see a man go through pre-menaupause. It would be funny seeing them crying in their beer.

Seriously, I hope that with the test, they can tell you what's going on. I care.
    Big hugs.

  10. See, I'm still forgetful... I love your painted toe nails. I wish I had your cute feet, no bunions like mine. I can't even wear heels anymore. My feet are short and wide with huge bunions that hurts when I wear shoes so I go in sandals for most of the summer even into the fall.

  11. It is kind of funny that thyroid and hormons have the same symptons. I did a quick paint of my toes before I left for a hooking class I needed to wear sandles.I need to get to the professionals really soon.
I hope that the blood work comes out like you want it to.
    and enjoy the sunshine.

  12. Anger issues is one sign of menopause...but you do have lovely toes! I'm just kidding of course! (about the anger, not the toes!) Hope all the tests come back good. I hate doctor visits..I think that since I work with Docs all day, everyday, I shouldn't have to see them on my own time! Have a good weekend!
