Super What??

Clearly I'm not a football fan so all the big game hype was lost on me. It's the one sport I can't seem to understand. Some guy catches the ball and everyone else jumps on him. That's the extent of my understanding of the game. Sad, I know.

But I did flip channels to catch the half time show :). Is it just me or was it a bit of a letdown?? Beyonce was good but I guess I was expecting more.

The other Super news for the day was that I finished hooking the rug! The never-ending project! Well, I "might" be finished. Lets see what you think

Originally I planned on hooking a small border (note the outer line). The truth is I'm kind of sick of this rug. BUT if you all think it needs a border, I will listen. Or I could rip out that outer line and just bind this sucker up.

Thoughts?? I'll await advice. Gotta go - Downton Abbey is starting!

  2. There was a football game today??? How would I know. I don't even have a working TV and don't miss it at all.
If you are totally sick of it, just bind it, but I think putting a couple rows of the grayish color would set it off nicely. Just MHO.

  4. I like a little border on my rugs. I also like how your rug looks with the light beigey brown of the backing that I see on my computer screen. Your little butterfly rug looks sweet.

I think that it will look nice either way. If you have the right color, go for it. it will hook quickly.

I don't watch sport and TV except the news so Football doesn't turn my crank.

  5. Your rug is beautiful! I only watched the game for the commercials but I did hope that Baltimore would win and they did! the concert really wasn't that good to me. It bordered on porn! We were all shocked at it but I knew she was do something like that. I think she danced more than she sang. I didn't understand her singing either! lol

  7. Beyonce concert was good, the rest of "destiny's child" popping out of the stage was friggin cool. Frisco's first half was aweful, but the come back was good, too bad they lost. Celler Dweller

  8. I can totally relate with you about the Super Bowl. Personally I did not care for the half time show at all. Didn't like the music or the thrusting...I mean dancing. I guess I just don't like that kind of music. I didn't even see any commercials that I liked. I finally switched it over to something else. I only watched what I did because I knew everyone would be talking about it. I think your rug looks good!

  9. Hi Kim, I don't hug rugs so I am probably not good at giving advice. I love your rug and I would just bind it. We never know when somebody else will like it that way. I know in my crafting if I have something I don't like or got tired of working on, that would be one that sold. I didn't watch any of the super bowl and didn't miss it. Have a great day. 12. Your rug is beautiful. I'm a football fan and my team, the 49ers, was in the SB. Disappointing result for me.

  15. I really don't think the rug needs a border. If you are still unsure after your consensus maybe you should put away for a time......being sick of it is not helping your decision for now, just sayin.
I don't know anything about football either, but celebrate with my mr. Nook.
Thank you for stopping by my special valentine post. I am so glad the valentines along with other greeting cards were saved for when my dad passed a few yrs ago, they were given to me, I was so thrilled to have such treasures indeed.

  17. *giggles* That eCard is so funny!!! The Super Bowl split-up the Mardi Gras festivities, which is a bummer quite frankly.

  18. I like it without the border. I think it's pretty as is. I've got a rug pattern (roses and pansies drawn by me), wool cut, and it's all been waiting under the bed for entirely too long. I need to work on that project! See, you're inspiring!

  19. Don't feel too bad bad about not knowing everything about football. I don't, either. However, I do enjoy watching the game with DH. We rooted for the Ravens & were happy they came out victorious. Beyonce show at the half was very boring. Nearly half way through it DH said, "This is the most boring thing I've ever seen." I couldn't have agreed more. We channeled surf after that watching pieces of commercials and home improvement shows till the game resumed.

I don't know anything about rug making, but the way it is looks pretty good to me. I love the design and phrase - so cute! Thanks for linking up with me on Friday Sillies.
