Wednesday Word of the Week

Todays word is:  SMILE

smile   [smahyl]

verb, smiled, smil·ing, noun

–verb (used without object)

1. to assume a facial expression indicating pleasure, favor, or amusement, but sometimes derision or scorn, characterized by an upturning of the corners of the mouth.

2. to regard with favor: Luck smiled on us that night.

3. to have a pleasant or agreeable appearance or aspect, as natural scenes, objects, etc.: The landscape smiled in the sunlight.

I almost cancelled this weeks edition of the Word of the Week for Big Breaking News.

However, I reconsidered and decided to incorporate my big breaking news into the post.  I have had a huge smile all day.  In fact, my face is almost sore from smiling.   Can't seem to stop.

Hmmm, are you wondering what is making me smile??  ........................
OK, you twisted my arm - I'll tell you the Big Breaking News

This morning....................I had my braces removed.  Yippee, Woohoo, Hurray etc etc.

I have my smile back.

Now I have to go and eat everything I can get my hands on.  Lol

  1. Oh wonderful! I remember getting mine off! Everything felt so soft in my mouth. It was weird for a while.
What are you planning to tackle for forbidden food first?

  2. Kim, I'm so happy for you. It's strange that I was thinking about you and your braces just yesterday and was wondering about when were your braces coming off. My kids call me a witch because sometimes I have a second sense about things.

I would LOVE to see a SMILING picture of you. That little smiling kitten just about threw me off my chair from laughing. Smile and the whole world smiles with you.

Go celebrate with your million dollar smile. Hugs, JB

Didn't even know you had braces ~ but yea!! that they're off - I guess....Never had them myself...but my son did - and I remember the pain of trying to get him to not eat what he wasn't supposed to (think he eats that crap now, though??!)....couldn't have come off too soon.... Yes, we need a real smilin' pic of Miss Kim!!! :o))

  6. That is a reason for HOOPLA! I am sure that you are loopy that the repair to your teeth is complete and has left you with a relentless smile! Don’t let anyone stifle your new grin. We all anticipate a picture! I never needed braces so I can’t appreciate what you have gone through to obliterate a discombobulated smile. You deserve to walk around with a zombie like grin on your face!

It was ferociously hot here yesterday – 102 degrees! I was whipped! Of course, the loser AC went out and we groped for space in front of the fan. We were delusional to think that anyone would be out to fix it anytime soon and a migraine set in. I became vindictive and wanted to go and demolish the neighbor’s AC just because it was working! Well, that would have been plain balderdash on my part so I went to the pool. Very chameleon-like, I became a much nicer person when I hit that lovely water. Of course, the temps are now going to be in the 70’s and the AC is fixed. . . . . .WHATEVER!
